What are we

the leake st. cafeteria is tucked inside a hidden courtyard (the old princess theatre), only accessible through a lane way off leake st (before 9am) or through kakulas sister (after 9am), we serve some of fremantle’s best coffee, most imaginative food in a unique, relaxing environment.

we firmly believe that everything tastes better when you make it yourself, which is why we pickle, cure, dry as many ingredients as possible, along with making our own yoghurt, simple cheese, vinegar, jams etc in what could only be described as a “tiny” kitchen… and yes we really do make almost everything in house!

also you can sms your coffee order to 0459530300

What we do

by using local, organic (when possible) and unusual ingredients, we create a mix of innovative and delicious salads, toasted sandwiches, soups, bagels and much more.

we firmly believe that foods are best enjoyed at their peak so quite often ingredients will change, be substituted or removed all together. by pickling as many ingredients as possible, we can ensure that ingredients can be enjoyed in a number of different ways, all year round.

add in some of the best tea, coffee and gluten free sweet treats available in fremantle and you have the perfect excuse to do some exploring.

How to find us

access is not what you would call “straightforward”

between 7.30 am and 9 am you can only access the cafe through the lane way off leake st (look for the sign above the gate) – be brave and walk around listen for the music.

after 9 am the gate is closed (to allow for deliveries etc) and access is now only available by walking through the iconic kakulas sister (31 market st, fremantle)
